Job Title: Polymer/Materials Chemist (US/GC Only)
Pay Rate: $32 to $35/HR
Duration: 6 months
Location: Irvine, CA
We are looking for a Polymer/Materials Chemist (US/GC Only).
- Conduct experiments and perform a variety of technical procedures in the development of materials for electronics applications.
- Work on special PD development projects as guided by supervisors
- Strong laboratory and research skills: compliance with all safety regulations, sound lab technique, and good record keeping
- Gather and analyse data using the Albert digital system and provide fast communications to supervisors
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences and Engineering; Polymer Materials
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a team or on their own and perform assignments with limited supervision.
- Is hands-on and enjoys working with machines and tools, and coming up with new ideas.
- Previous experience in a laboratory environment is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and well-organized
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong computer skills: MS Office
- Self-Starter; collaborative team player with an entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude
- Project management skills: strong work ethic and ability to meet work deadlines
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
