At Firefly, we’re looking for a Post-Sales Engineer who will join our global sales team and who’s as excited about helping customers as they are about building solutions. You’ll be the technical voice of the customer, working closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to ensure a smooth journey — from the first technical demo to successful production deployment and beyond.
This role is focused on post-sales engineering and implementation, perfect for someone with a DevOps or cloud engineering background, a startup mindset, and a drive to make things happen.
The role is open to any candidate based in the PST, CST or MT timezone in the US.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to ensure successful onboarding and implementation of Firefly for new customers.
- Own the technical post-sales journey — guiding customers through integration, deployment, and real-world configuration of the Firefly platform.
- Provide hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to help customers achieve their goals and realize value from the platform.
- Develop a deep understanding of each customer’s cloud environment and DevOps maturity to tailor solutions, best practices, and enablement plans.
- Act as a Firefly subject matter expert (SME), continuously expanding your knowledge of our platform and its application across diverse technical environments.
- Capture and relay customer feedback to Product and Engineering to influence feature enhancements and roadmap priorities.
- Create reusable resources including onboarding guides, technical documentation, enablement materials, and automation scripts to streamline delivery and support.
- Assist in monitoring customer adoption, identifying risks or roadblocks early, and proactively offering technical solutions to drive success.
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years in a Post-Sales Engineering role.
- DevOps, Cloud Engineer, or similar background experience (B2B startup experience is an advantage).
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps tools.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code / FinOps / Governance.
- Experience working with APIs, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), scripting (Python, Bash, etc) and automations.
- Comfortable running customer-facing calls and explaining complex concepts simply.
- A self-starter, hungry to take ownership, resourceful, and customer-obsessed.
- Excellent communication skills – both technical and business-level.
