We are a busy wheel repair shop seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paint/Prep technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation of wheels for painting, ensuring that surfaces are properly prepped and ready for high-quality finishes. Duties
- Prepare wheels by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas to be painted. Paint prepped wheels.
- Utilize tools effectively for sanding and surface preparation tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while handling materials and operating equipment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in auto body painting is helpful but not required.
- Previous experience in prep, repair, restoration, or related fields is necessary.
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment relevant to paint preparation tasks.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to deliver high-quality work consistently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- A passion for automotive painting and restoration is highly desirable.
