Seifert Transit Graphics, a trusted national leader in transit bus and rail graphics, is seeking a Prepress Technician to support our engineering and production efforts from our Oriskany, NY headquarters. This position plays a key role in preparing accurate, production-ready files and manufacturing documentation for complex vehicle graphics seen across North America.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, thrives in a technical design environment, and is confident working with numbers. You’ll use your math and problem-solving skills daily — estimating materials, calculating production costs, and setting up digital files that drive our manufacturing process.What You’ll Do:
- Prepare clean, accurate production design files for vehicle livery, decals, and transit signage
- Create and manage digital production Bills of Materials (BOMs) using Plex (MRP system)
- Assist with estimating material use, labor time, and costs for engineering and sales projects
- Apply internal specs and setup standards to build efficient production files and kits
- Collaborate with engineering, graphics, and production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability
- Prioritize assigned tasks and complete engineering requests accurately and on time
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (part of Adobe CC Suite)
- Bonus: Experience with Plex ERP, CAD software, or OMAX waterjet software
- Familiarity with print production or design for manufacturing is a plus
