1. Perform all tasks required to make-ready the job according to the production schedule
2. Thoroughly read all special instructions and applicable specifications prior to running the job
3. Maintain the feeder during production and assist with related tasks
4. Provide feedback to the crew lead or supervisor with concerning the equipment or jobs running
5. Prep all stock prior to running the job
6. Adjust feeder to achieve maximum production during the running of the press
7. Understand the controls of the feeder console and auxiliary controls for the operating systems
8. Assist in filling ink and dampening solution fountains of press
9. Observes press operation, detect machine malfunctions and notify the 1st Pressman
10. Removes loaded skids of material and replaces with empty skid
11. Assists in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure using hand tools
12. Assist in washing the press, cleaning ink and ink rollers and fountains
13. Assist in making adjustments to feeder
14. Assist in preventative maintenance and minor adjustments
- Coordinate, train, develop and mentor crews for optimal production and teamwork results
- Monitoring make ready, maintenance and down time for optimal efficiency
- Proactively troubleshoot and analyze outcomes
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Other duties as assigned
