Principal Analyst, Capital Markets & Risk - QFC ProgramCapital One’s Capital Markets and Analytics organization is looking for a driven, detail-oriented candidate to support the expansion and ongoing operations of the Qualified Financial Contracts (QFC) Program, a regulatory compliance program residing within Corporate Treasury. The QFC Program manages key processes and reporting capabilities that enable financial regulators to employ a more orderly resolution strategy of large financial institutions in the event of potential failure or receivership. The role requires a candidate with a risk management and process improvement mindset, someone with strong decision-making, problem solving, and communication skills who can thrive in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform reporting, monitoring, and governance activities that enable effective QFC compliance
- Operate within a well-controlled environment by diligently maintaining program documentation and abiding by procedures and controls
- Build and nurture relationships with diverse partner teams across the company to enable ongoing operations, process enhancement and change management efforts
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp and effectively communicate complex regulatory and business topics to technology and product partners to enable both the efficient resolution of technical reporting issues and the successful delivery of tech initiatives and product enhancements
- Assist in the development and execution of a unified QFC compliance framework through disciplined project management and drafting of policies, standards, and procedures (PSPs)
- Ensure all regulatory deliverables are completed on time and prepare updates and presentations for Senior Leadership and relevant stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or military experience
- At least 3 years of experience in Financial Services
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience with regulatory reporting, risk management, compliance, audit, finance, or a combination
- At least 1 year of experience in Python, SQL, or Tableau, or a combination

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $127,500 - $145,500 for Principal Analyst, Capital Mkts & Risk
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
