Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate Caregiver/Companion to provide essential care and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care, behavior management, and patient care.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as grooming, bathing, and dressing
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
- Implement behavior management strategies to support individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals under your care
- Help individuals with mobility needs, including lifting or transferring when required
Experience:
The successful candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Prior experience in long-term care or a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols
- Ability to manage challenging behaviors effectively
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Background in nursing, social work, or a related healthcare field is beneficial
