Position Overview
We are looking for a positive, productive team player to provide excellent leadership in the Produce Department as Produce Manager. Must have produce experience. This position is responsible for negotiating with suppliers for favorable prices, terms, quality, and delivery. This position also is responsible for purchasing produce and researching new or alternative sources of suppliers; while maintaining fresh produce and displays. Manager will oversee receiving of produce deliveries and also is responsible for pricing produce to achieve margin and sales goals. Will also be responsible for merchandising and planning for attractive produce displays, using color and texture to enhance and ensure displays are replenished, rotated, culled several times daily. Manager will set quality standards as a leader by example.
