Basic Purpose:
A Production/Service Support Technician must have sufficient experience (10 years working on Taylor Machine Works vehicles or similar mobile equipment) and/or technical education (such as a BSEE or Associate Degree in Electrical Technology) to implement electrical and hydraulic systems as used on Taylor Machine Works Products. He must demonstrate extensive product knowledge and have good analytical and communication skills required to assist Production and Service personnel in resolution of problems associated with such systems. Work is assigned and reviewed by a Sr. Product Engineer, Engineering Group Leader, or Assistant Chief Engineer.
Primary Accountabilities:
1.Develops and evaluates functional prototype wiring and electrical systems which conform to customer orders or assignments by his superiors. These may vary from piece-parts to complete systems requiring extensive research.
2.Assures that projects assigned meet functional, esthetic, reliability, producibility, and economic requirements.
3.Provides functional supervision to technicians and draftsmen assigned to the implementation of projects.
4.Conducts research, analysis and evaluation of current project defects, developing and recommending revisions when necessary to maintain the company's competitive position in its chosen markets.
5.Provides troubleshooting and problem resolution guidance to Production personnel in relation to electrical and hydraulic systems.
6.Supports Sudden Service Technicians with troubleshooting and resolution of electrical and hydraulic field problems.
