Title: Program Assistant –
Family Pathways & Bridgeway
Part Time:
Part-time positions, 5-10 hours per week
Primarily weekends, some hours may be available Mon-Fri
Hourly wage: $14.00
Position Summary
Bridgeway is a residential transitional living program for homeless women with children. Program Assistants take a strength-based, grace-filled approach to house coverage, crisis intervention, and oversight of daily operations. Applicants need to have assertive communication skills and be self-motivated.
Family Pathways Program Assistants supervise and document visits between a visiting parent and child(ren), adhere to confidentiality, follows program protocol and ensures the safety of all participants.

- Provide compassion, grace and accountability
- Build strong client/staff relationships with residents, while maintaining professional boundaries
- Maintain day to day operations, follow opening and closing procedures

- Provide non-judgmental supervision and documentation during parent child visits
- Adheres to confidentiality
- Maintains the visitation space through general cleaning and upkeep
Skills and Abilities
- Experience working with persons who have experienced trauma
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to establish rapport, possess critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently with strong sense of focus, task-oriented, non-judgmental, and team-oriented
- Respect for confidentiality involving both clients and fellow employees
- Appreciation for culturally-diverse families and communities, culturally sensitive and appropriate
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Required. 1-2 years of related work. Post-secondary education in psychology, social work or similar is preferred
- Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver’s license. Ability to transport residents in personal vehicle or SCIO’s van when necessary
- Rotating holiday shifts required
- Background check and drug test required
Minimum Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or use force up to 50 pounds occasionally, to lift, push, or pull, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist, turn, reach, lift, carry, pull, climb, and kneel, with approximately 50% of the time spent walking and standing
