Overview:
JHNA Technology Security is currently seeking a Journeyman level Program Protection Security Specialist to support the Program Security Manager at a NAVAIR Program Office in Patuxent River, MD.
The ideal candidate will be proficient and capable of execution of duties pertaining to personnel security, physical security, and information security. Implement security processes necessary to protect classified information, with strict adherence to NISPOM, DoDM 5200.01 Vol. 1-3, DODI 5200.02, DoDI 5200.48, and other applicable Executive Order and DoD regulations. This position will require routine interface with all levels of management and government customers and require on-site/in-person presence.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist the Program Security Manager with a host of security related tasks
- Maintain compliance with the US Government security regulations and directives.
- Review visit requests
- Support scheduling and setup of Secure Video Teleconferences with industry and government agencies
- Ensure that all classified materials held by the site are compliant with the regulations and directives, which govern marking, handling, controlling, removing, transporting, sanitizing, reusing, and destroying classified information and equipment containing classified information.
- Resolve other related program Security issues.
- Support update or development of Security Classification Guide(s), Security Operation Procedures, and other Acquisition Security related documents as required.
- Review DD-254s and contract Statements of Work for completeness and accuracy
Required Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of experience in DoD/DoN Security and a High School Diploma. An Associates Degree and 2 years of experience is an allowable substitution
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret DoD Clearance, an active clearance is desired
- Familiarity with OPSEC, PERSEC, INFOSEC, PHYSEC
- Strong writing ability and be comfortable with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Outlook, MS Teams and be familiar with using Sharepoint functions.
- STRONG INITIATIVE and a "CAN DO" attitude with ability to operate with minimal supervision. Flexibility is required.
TSA is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employees. The salary range for this position is $80,000- $95,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
