Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to support a state agency client on a part-time, contract basis. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in fast-paced, multi-project environments and enjoys creating structure from ambiguity. The position is hybrid, with most work performed remotely and occasional meetings or collaboration sessions as needed.
Compensation:
$35.00 – $45.00 per hour
(1099 Independent Contractor; not a W-2 employee)
Schedule and Commitment:
- Part-time: Workload will vary month to month based on project needs
- Estimated 7–10 hours/week average
- Flexible schedule, with some deadlines and client availability during standard business hours
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support multiple concurrent projects from kickoff through delivery
- Assess project requirements, identify pain points, and develop actionable strategies
- Coordinate communication across departments and stakeholders
- Create tracking processes, timelines, and resource plans
- Proactively flag risks and deliver concise updates to executive leadership
- Maintain organized records, including time logs, deliverables, and progress reports
- Develop resources using tools such as Google Workspace, Asana, Slack, and Salesforce
- Optimize internal workflows and propose scalable improvements
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of project management experience (required)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience creating project tools, dashboards, or templates
- Experience supporting destination marketing, tourism, or government agencies is a plus
- Familiarity with Asana, Slack, Salesforce, and Google Workspace (required)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working independently and managing remote collaboration

Additional Details:
- Contract is capped at approximately 380–400 billable hours/year

- TBT provides administrative oversight, onboarding support, and performance tracking
- This is a client-facing role; clear communication and professional conduct are essential
