Job Description

Overview

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

Senior level of experience in planning and scheduling various project workload. Must have experience in gathering and analyzing information to prepare status reports. Must have experience in ensuring that assignment and scheduling of work follows company policy. Must have experience in evaluating current procedures and recommend changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects.

This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X.

Responsibilities

Major Job Activities:

Provide communications and project planning. The contractor shall:
  • Administer, manage and perform planning and implementation activities.
  • Provide continuity for deployed United States Air Force (USAF) personnel on all projects and serve as the focal point for all communication systems planning.
  • Convene and lead planning meetings, video conferences, and teleconferences.
  • Coordinate with SMEs, local command, and external agencies to develop and brief project plans.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communications installations to include frequency authorizations, civil works authorizations, logistical work, and other allied support.
  • Ensure communications systems architecture, configuration, and integration conformity by coordinating engineering data through the base Communications Systems Integrator (CSI).
  • Manage implementation of communication systems projects.
  • Consolidate monthly reports of all communication projects.
  • Coordinate and process deployed base and command-level requirements.
  • Track requirements throughout the lifecycle include gathering, collecting, and archiving requirements.Input requirement into the Government-provided database.

Material & Equipment Directly Used:

Government computers and DoD approved software.

Working Environment:
  • Working environment is a climate-controlled facility. Outdoor temperatures may exceed temperatures of 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • May require support during periods of non-traditional working hours including nights or weekends.

Physical Activities:

Must be able to lift / push / pull 40 lbs. unassisted.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications:
  • Bachelor's management degree AND four years of experience; OR
  • PMP certification / PMP equivalent certification with four years of experience in a relevant area; OR
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Active Secret Tier 3 Security Clearance

Experience / Skills:
  • Minimum of eight years of experience with the technical and analytical aspects associated with management, configuration, and operation of fixed and tactical satellite communications equipment.
  • Understanding of military satellite transmissions planning tools and commercial satellite frequency allocation.
