Job Summary
The Property Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a residential community, ensuring that all aspects of property management are executed efficiently and effectively. This role involves managing staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, and ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations. The Community Director will also be instrumental in fostering a positive community environment while maximizing occupancy rates and enhancing resident satisfaction.
Duties
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the community, including property maintenance, leasing activities, and resident relations.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws.
- Manage and train staff to provide exceptional customer service and maintain high operational standards.
- Utilize property management software such as AppFolio for tracking leases, tenant communications, and maintenance requests.
- Coordinate property maintenance activities, ensuring timely responses to resident requests and upkeep of facilities.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new residents and retain current tenants.
- Maintain accurate records related to leasing, maintenance, and resident interactions.
- Facilitate community events to promote engagement among residents and enhance community spirit.
Experience
- Proven experience in property management or a related field is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on resident satisfaction.
- Experience with property leasing processes and best practices is preferred.
- Proficiency in using software tools such as AppFolio for effective property management.
