Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in psychological assessment and therapy, with experience in various therapeutic modalities. This role involves working with diverse populations, including individuals with autism and those seeking addiction counseling. The Psychologist will be responsible for conducting diagnostic evaluations, psychological testing, and providing psychotherapy to patients in a hospital setting while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess patients' mental health needs.
- Administer psychological testing and interpret results to inform treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group psychotherapy tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with medical staff to integrate psychological care into overall patient treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Perform patient assessments to monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
- Offer addiction counseling services to support patients in their recovery journey.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in psychology.
Experience
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure as a psychologist in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with addiction counseling techniques and methodologies is preferred.
- Proficient understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and medical records management.
- Strong skills in diagnostic evaluation and psychological testing methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $74.00 - $85.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
