Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead our team and drive operational excellence in our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a proven track record in retail management. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing daily operations, ensuring that our store meets its goals while providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the store, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage and train staff, including conducting employee orientation and ongoing training & development.
- Lead recruitment efforts, including interviewing candidates and onboarding new hires.
- Supervise team members to foster a positive work environment and enhance team performance.
- Handle payroll processing and bookkeeping tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
- Manage inventory control, including purchasing, stocking, and merchandising products effectively.
- Implement effective sales management strategies to achieve sales targets and improve retail performance.
- Utilize retail math for pricing strategies and budget management to optimize profitability.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed during transactions.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and upper management to facilitate smooth operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in retail management or as an assistant manager with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for enhancing customer interactions.
- Demonstrated experience in training & development of staff members.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
