Overview
The Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities. This position involves developing and implementing individualized care plans, ensuring that clients receive the necessary services to enhance their quality of life. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized service plans for clients with intellectual disabilities.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' needs and progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare professionals, to coordinate care.
- Provide training and support to staff regarding best practices in care for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and agency policies related to care services.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
- Support clients in achieving personal goals through skill-building activities and community engagement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and service delivery.
Skills
- Knowledge of hospice care and nursing home environments is highly desirable.
- Experience in memory care settings is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Proficiency in first aid and emergency response techniques.
- Familiarity with home care practices and systems for effective client management.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and team members.
- Compassionate approach toward individuals with intellectual disabilities, fostering a supportive environment.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple client cases effectively.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
