WORK SHIFT: Thursday through Saturday | 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM

SUMMARY

The Quality & Assembly Team Lead is the shift facilitator for all employees working on quality inspection, assembly, and rework functions during the shift. The lead aids these individuals to be as productive and efficient in their work as they can be, actively filling in when there are absences, training new employees, ensuring that all required training is complete for the shift, helping with issue resolution and troubleshooting, escalating and working with the Shift Supervisor and Engineering when needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Working lead, who is an active part of the team
  • Works cross-functionally to capture, properly document, and resolve issues
  • Provides day-to-day coordination and prioritization of activities/workflow for the team
  • Ensures 100% training compliance for the shift
    • Provide X-ray safety and operation training
    • Provide IPC-A-610 CIS certification training
  • Responsible for new employee onboarding and training coordination for new hires
  • Provides real-time coaching and assistance to the team
  • Adheres to process documentation and actively partners with process owners on continuous improvement activities
  • Provides real-time performance feedback on team members to the shift supervisor
  • Champions safety and 6S standards in production workspaces
  • With fellow leads, provide coverage in case of shift supervisor's time off
  • The work performed in this job can only be done on-site; therefore, attendance is an essential function of the job

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities, but will require training and overseeing the work of Quality Inspector I–III, Assemblers, WAVE and Selective Solder Machine Operators, and Rework Specialists.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, the individual must meet all qualifications for Quality Inspector III. Additionally, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • One year certificate from college or technical school, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English to enable clear communication & comprehension of documentation.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Basic math skills required to add, subtract, multiply & divide. Basic understanding of & ability to read performance graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Able to understand and determine product quality to written documentation.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to perform basic data entry transactions.
  • Must achieve passing score on the IPC Component Identification course.
  • Must achieve a passing score on the IPC Workmanship standards exam.
  • Must achieve an IPC-A-610 CIT certification.
