Description:
Quality Assurance Specialist will act as support staff to Quality Management by overseeing the daily test data and release of finished product based on results. This person must maintain high levels of accuracy and understand food safety and quality for positive release of finished product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comply with and oversee applicable good manufacturing practices (GMPs), safety standards, food safety and quality practices.
- Accurately maintain proper documentation in all recordkeeping systems/formats.
- Ensure all required daily testing is completed timely and in accordance with company policies.
- Record in-house and 3rd party testing results.
- Conduct and review microbiological testing to support quality control and product release.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues involving microbial contamination or deviations.
- Interpret testing results for compliance with product specifications.
- Place and manage product holds; conduct and evaluate rechecks per company policy.
- Review AIOS programs and auto generated emails to release finished product.
- Interpret microbiological data and apply findings to improve manufacturing and sanitation processes.
- Oversee testing methods and development of detailed electronic work instructions.
- Perform other quality related duties as assigned.
