Position Summary
The QA Tech is a proactive, improvement-driven champion that thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. In this role, you’ll support and enhance our SQF and HACCP systems, while leading daily improvements rooted in Lean thinking. You’ll foster a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and high standards across the production floor.
What You’ll Do
Your #1 duty is to make improvements to the process of maintaining quality and food safety. Your next most important duty is to coach and train others on making improvements. Other daily work will include:
- Conducting and documenting the morning pre-operational sanitation verification (Pre-Op)
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP, regulatory and customer-specific standards.
- Facilitating root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Performing daily quality checks and other duties as assigned.
- Supporting mock recalls, customer complaint resolution, and traceability exercises.
- Training team members on standard work, quality procedures, and safety protocols.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a science-related field required; 2+ years of quality assurance experience in food manufacturing may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred. Must be proficient with computer-based tools. Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology.

Physical & Schedule Requirements
- Comfortable working in production environments with varying temperatures.
- Physically able to stand, bend, lift (up to 30 lbs occasionally), reach, and perform full-body movements.
- Must follow food safety requirements, which includes not wearing jewelry (e.g., rings, watches, exposed dermal piercings), false eyelashes, fingernail polish, and artificial nails.
- Full-time, must be flexible to work where needed, with some weekend and overtime requirements.
