Scope:
- Plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations for Home Health services.
- Ensures accuracy and compliance of the plan of care, provider orders, face to face, and OASIS documentation.
- Oversees accurate ICD-10 diagnostic coding in alignment with regulatory requirements and payer guidelines.
- Maintains current knowledge of Home Health Quality Reporting Programs and reimbursement structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts compliance-focused reviews of ICD-10 coding for all patient records to ensure accuracy, appropriateness, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Reviews OASIS documentation for completeness and regulatory compliance, and provides clear, actionable feedback to clinicians.
- Audits plans of care and provider orders for regulatory compliance, clinical accuracy, and documentation completeness; recommends necessary changes to ensure adherence to standards.
- Reviews clinical documentation to ensure it supports medical necessity and meets Medicare and other payer coverage requirements for Home Health services.
- Collaborates with leadership to support agency quality outcomes, regulatory preparedness, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Assists in developing and delivering compliance-related training and education to clinical staff based on review findings and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Stays informed of changes to federal and state regulations affecting Home Health adjusts review practices accordingly.
- Complete additional chart reviews on varying identified areas to support agency quality, performance improvement, and compliance initiatives.

Education and Experience Required:Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the states of Minnesota and North Dakota, or willing to obtain MN/ND licensure
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Home Health.
- Certification in OASIS and ICD-10 coding preferred.
- Must obtain certification in OASIS within 2 years of hire.
- Must complete and pass a state required background study.
- Able to physically perform the duties required by the position.
- Required to have the ability to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with staff, clients and visitors.
