Outstanding medical device manufacturer has an immediate opening for an experienced Quality Control Inspector.
Essential Job Functions:
Position responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:
- The Quality Inspector performs incoming inspection, in-process inspections, and final inspections of components and assemblies per control/quality plans.
- Review and approve final release documentation.
- Performs incoming inspections per control/quality plans for received materials.
- Completion of appropriate quality records within company and GMP guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Performing Inspections and R&D requested measurements using Keyence measurement systems (High-Precision Image Dimension and Laser Displacement Sensor), microscopes, and common metrology tools such as calipers, rulers, etc.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications; process standards and specifications; and production or process plans.
- Following work instructions to ensure tasks are completed accurately
- Accept or reject materials or articles; identify and document non-conformance and notify appropriate personnel of potential rejection of items
- Transferring, releasing or quarantining material physically according to inspection status
- Documenting and maintaining inspection and test records
- Understand lot numbers and traceability
- All other duties as assigned or required
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Medical Device (Nice to have)
- Familiarity of inspection methodologies (metrology)
- Ability to read, interpret and understand engineering drawings (GD&T, ASME Y14.5-2009/2018)
Skills (Required):
- Keyence/CMM
- Ability to read and write in English
- Great attention to detail (GDP)
- Good analytical skills
- Capable to work independently and be team oriented
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Skills (Preferred):
- Compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and FDA 21 CFR Part 820
- Certifications in Metrology or Quality Assurance
Software:
- Qualio
Physical:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
