Shift and Pay Details
1 shift - 7:00AM to 3:30PM (Monday through Friday)
POSITION SUMMARY: The Quality Specialist will directly support quality initiatives in our manufacturing areas as well as support our customers’ Quality Paperwork Shipping Requirements. A variety of quality-oriented tasks, both tactical and strategic, will make up the workload. Extreme attention to detail and customer requirements is required. Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills and good customer-service orientation should be demonstrated.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Make decisions in the absence of Quality Leadership personnel.
- Aid other inspectors, as required.
- Compare print requirements with parts produced to determine final quality of part for customer requirements of Quality Shipping Paperwork.
- Perform FAI Inspections, reviews and the completion of the applicable FAI requirements based on customer requirements.
- Work with applicable Sales Team members to assist with FAI submittals, if required.
- Develop and review Quality document packages for shipping purposes.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Training of individuals on the requirements of Customer Quality Shipping Paperwork.
2. Provide training on MDHR/DHR completion.
3. Expediting orders as required meeting production goals.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent and / or minimum experience.
- EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years’ experience in quality inspection.
- LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR REGISTRATIONS: Industry recognized (Quality, CMM, Optical Inspection equipment) certification(s) preferred, but not required.
- OTHER MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess good written and verbal communication skills with our internal and external customer base. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Use of advanced mathematics in conjunction with detailed blueprints, specifications, etc. Use of precision measuring equipment, including CMM and optical inspection equipment. Understanding of ANSI standards and calibration techniques and requirements. Understanding of SPC. Ability to work beyond normally scheduled hours, which may include early mornings, late nights, and weekends.
