Job Summary
Clay Academics is seeking passionate and dedicated tutors to join our team. Tutors will provide academic support to students in grades K–8, helping them strengthen foundational skills, complete homework, and prepare for assessments. This is a part-time position with flexible evening hours. Tutors will work in a supportive, engaging environment and contribute to students’ academic growth and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring in subjects including reading, writing, and math.
- Reinforce classroom instruction and support student learning at their level.
- Help students complete homework assignments and prepare for tests.
- Track student progress and report updates to Clay Academics staff.
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Communicate with staff and families as needed regarding student progress or concerns.
- Follow all Clay Academics policies and safety protocols..
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; college coursework or degree preferred.
- Experience working with children in an academic setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of core K–8 subjects (reading, writing, math).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, reliable, and committed to student success.
- Ability to work flexible evening hours.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary, Internship
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
