Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our components receiving department. This position involves receiving and processing high value engine parts, ensuring accuracy in identification and condition. The Receiving Clerk will work closely with various departments and support overall warehouse operations.
Duties
- Receive, inspect and identify incoming parts for accuracy and quality, ensuring that all packages and parts are accounted for.
- Organize stock in designated areas within the warehouse to optimize space and accessibility.
- Maintain accurate records of received goods, discrepancies, and damaged items.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient receiving processes.
- Perform basic math calculations to verify quantities.
- Accurate data input.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving role is a plus.
- Basic math skills for accurate counting.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as order pickers a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 40 pounds).
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork is essential.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
