We are a busy internal medicine practice looking for a reliable and professional Medical Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our patients, the Medical Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients have a positive experience from the moment they enter our office.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, verifying their information and insurance
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar
- Collect co-pays and payments for services rendered
- Obtain and maintain accurate patient records
- Respond to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate with other medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Follow up with patients regarding appointment reminders and test results
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a medical receptionist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and EMR systems
- Understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
