Greenway Services is seeking a qualified employee as a recycling tech for the Wake County Multi-material collection center located in Wendell, NC.
Wake County contracts us to intake & process various recycling streams that include electronics, tires, used motor / cooking oil and household appliances. Appliances containing refrigerant must have any remaining refrigerant recovered before being recycled. Please note this job requires operating a forklift, operating refrigerant recovery equipment in addition to manual lifting up to 50 lbs., squatting & bending as well as working in an outside covered area in all weather conditions. Training will be provided for refrigerant recovery and we will get you licensed through the State of NC. Forklift experience is a plus but we will provide forklift training.
Recycling items are documented on logs which may include documentation of tires and logs tracking recovered refrigerants.
This is a parttime position and requires weekend work every Saturday and Sunday. Work hours will be between 8am and 4pm each weekend for a total of 16 hours. The rate of pay is $16.00 per hour.
