Rehab Technician

Performs routine tasks which support Rehabilitation Services within specific hospital-based outpatient programs. Assists with patient treatment under the supervision of a licensed/certified professional.
Physical work environments will rotate between outpatient clinics in Lanham and Rockville Maryland.

Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Required Skills/Knowledge
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Office applications
Strong organizational skills are required
Must be able to rotate between two clinic locations

Required Licenses and Certifications
CPR (Required)

Job Functions
Essential job duties:

• Establish rapport with patients that is compassionate and humanistic.

• Transport patients to and from therapy activities or treatment sessions according to hospital policy

• Provide support to therapists during treatment sessions as needed.

• Clean and maintain therapy areas, playrooms, and equipment as assigned.

• Inventory and stock supplies for all patient treatment areas.

• Obtain equipment from storage as assigned.

• Transport equipment to and from the established cleaning area, as assigned.

• Maintain equipment storage areas as assigned.

• Perform clerical duties as assigned.

• Follow appropriate program documentation requirements.

• Maintain temperature, cleaning and equipment maintenance logs as assigned.

• Ensure timely and cooperative inter- and intra-departmental relationships and communications throughout the hospital and the system and with individuals external to the hospital and system.

• Keep designated supervisor informed about all significant issues and seeks counsel when necessary.

• Assist with other programs or departments as assigned.
