Virginia Eagle, a leading beverage distributor, is currently looking for an energetic, positive, team minded, delivery manager to join the Fredericksburg location.
The Relief Manager directs assigned Delivery Drivers to achieve company delivery goals in their territory. The Relief Manager is expected to lead by example and coach their team to maintain 100% delivery accuracy in all accounts while upholding the highest safety standards. The best candidate for this position is a true teammate that wants to partner with their team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Must have the ability to safely drive various vehicles. Must have a valid Virginia Commercial Driver’s License and be able to operate a commercial motor vehicle weighing 26, 001 pounds or more with a safe driving record. Must maintain insurability to operate a motor vehicle. Must remain Department of Transportation “qualified” to operate a commercial motor vehicle. The Relief Manager must be certified to drive the appropriate classification of route truck (either bay truck certified or bulk truck certified depending on the route).
- Must have ability to direct a team toward assigned goals.
- Must have ability to be flexible with schedule each day depending on needs of assigned team.
- Must be able to lift and carry, including overhead lifting, 15-40 pounds or more on a repetitive basis.
- Must be able to push and pull a 2-wheel dolly on a regular basis.
- Must be able to unload package beer from truck to account and move beverages in and around account. Package beer weighing 15 lbs. to 40 lbs. per case. Occasionally must be able to lift kegs weighing up to 165 lbs.
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather and/or temperature conditions.
- Must have the ability to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather and/or temperature conditions.
- Must have the ability to communicate, utilizing the English language in verbal and written form.
- Must be able to use basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to balance all monetary transactions as necessary.
