We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Remote Medical Billing Data Processor to join our growing team.
As the Remote Medical Billing Data Processor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing process. You will be responsible for gathering, organizing, and processing medical billing data remotely, ensuring timely and accurate submission of claims to insurance providers. In this role, you will collaborate with our billing team to maintain the financial health of our company and ensure timely reimbursement for our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize medical billing software to accurately enter patient information, treatment codes, and insurance information
- Review medical charts and documentation to identify billable services and prepare claims
- Compile and analyze data from various sources to verify the accuracy of billing information
- Communicate with insurance companies and follow up on outstanding claims to ensure timely reimbursement
- Collaborate with our billing team to resolve discrepancies and denials, and handle appeals when necessary
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a home care or healthcare setting
- Proficiency in medical terminology and coding systems, such as ICD-10 and CPT
- Experience with electronic medical billing software, preferably familiar with GSS system
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and accurately with large amounts of data
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work remotely in a collaborative team environment
