Job Title: Research Assistant II - Oncology

Reports to: CRC Manager
Job Summary/ Objective:
The Research Assistant II will play a crucial role in supporting ongoing clinical trials, data collection, and analysis. Your work will contribute directly to advancing medical knowledge and improving patient outcomes.
Essential Functions:
- Data Collection and Entry:
- Assist in collecting patient data during clinical trials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols.
- Enter data into electronic databases and maintain meticulous records.
- Participant Recruitment and Consent:
- Help recruit eligible participants for clinical studies.
- Explaining study procedures and risks.
- Laboratory Support:
- Prepare and process biological samples (blood, urine, tissue) for analysis.
- Assist with laboratory experiments and assays.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Schedule study visits and coordinate participant appointments.
- Assist with regulatory submissions
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with principal investigators, physicians, and other team members.
- Communicate study updates and findings effectively.

Education/Experience/Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred (biology, life sciences, health sciences, etc.).
- Experience: 1 year of prior experience in Clinical Research preferred

Working Conditions/ Physical Demands:
Standard operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. May be required to complete job-related tasks outside of that time frame in excess of a standard 40-hour work week. Requires prolonged walking, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
