Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as the Resident Manager for our Medical group home. This live-in position includes private, self-contained housing with all utilities paid. The Resident Manager RN is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing direct care staff, coordinating and updating care plans, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and promoting a positive, respectful environment for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:Clinical Leadership & Oversight
- Develop, implement, and update individual care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Monitor residents’ health status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Create and maintain protocols for medication administration, health emergencies, and chronic condition management
- Conduct regular health assessments and documentation
Administrative & Regulatory
- Ensure compliance with Oregon DHS, OARs, and licensing requirements for medical group homes
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation for medical charts, incident reports, MARs, and care plans
- Participate in inspections, audits, and evaluations from regulatory agencies
Staff Management
- Hire, train, supervise, and schedule direct care staff
- Provide ongoing performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed
- Promote teamwork and staff accountability through clear expectations and leadership
Resident & Family Engagement
- Build positive relationships with residents and their families/guardians
- Address concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Encourage independence and advocate for residents’ rights and well-being
Operations & Communication
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment
- Participate in budgeting and inventory management for medical and household supplies
- Maintain excellent written and verbal communication with families, case managers, providers, and other stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (required)
- Experience in a group home, foster care, or long-term care setting (preferred)
- Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health conditions (preferred)
- Prior leadership or managerial experience (required)
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Must be able to pass a background check and meet Oregon’s eligibility requirements
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain)
