Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to lead our organization in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with brain injury and senior citizens. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, social work, or long term care, along with a passion for enhancing the quality of life for our residents. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage programs, supervise staff, and advocate for resident rights while ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the facility, ensuring high standards of care and service delivery.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote resident rights and enhance quality of life.
- Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance on best practices in care for individuals with brain injuries and seniors.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess resident needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to long-term care, home care, and brain injury waiver services
- Foster a positive environment that encourages resident engagement and participation in activities.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to support operational goals.
- Serve as a liaison between residents, families, staff, and external agencies to promote effective communication.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, nursing, or a related field; May consider high school with many years of CNA experience
- Proven experience in senior care or long term care settings; experience working with individuals with traumatic brain injury is highly desirable.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Knowledge of resident rights regulations and commitment to advocating for those rights.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact compassionately with residents and families.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team environment.
