Residential House Cleaner (1099 Independent Contractor – Part-Time)
Location: Wolcott, Sodus, Clyde, Lyons & Surrounding Areas
Pay: Up to $375/week (flat-rate per clean)
Paige’s Cleaning Services is hiring experienced, professional cleaners for a long-term, serious role.
This is NOT a side hustle or “try it out” job. If you’re not ready to show up, follow exact instructions, and work hard every day, please do not apply.
You MUST meet all these non-negotiable requirements:
- 1+ year of professional cleaning experience (personal cleaning doesn’t count)
- Professional references required
- Reliable transportation, able to travel up to 45 minutes
- Available at least 3 consistent weekdays, 8 AM–3 PM
- No pet allergies (most clients have cats/dogs)
- Physically able to clean for 5–6 hours per job, with a strict minimum/maximum time frame
- Clean, professional attire (t-shirt, leggings, or shorts)
- Must operate as a 1099 contractor and manage your own taxes
- Must carry or obtain general liability insurance
- Able to use Venmo for weekly payments and Google Calendar for scheduling
- 2 unpaid trial days are part of the onboarding process to evaluate fit and ensure you meet quality standards before being added to our contractor roster
- Complete onboarding paperwork in person (Service Agreement, W-9, Checklist, Availability Form)

- We use detailed checklists to maintain quality, and expect all contractors to consistently meet those standards
- Show up on time, ready to work with high energy and focus
- Always double-check your work before leaving a client’s home
- Be professional and respectful in every client’s home, no judgment
- Disclose any physical restrictions or allergies upfront
- Commitment for the long term — we invest in you and expect the same
- No personal items (purses, backpacks, etc.) are allowed inside clients’ homes. Only essential items like your phone, keys, and water bottle may be brought in, and they must stay in your cleaning caddy at all times.

We take pride in our high standards, and we only invite serious, dependable professionals to work with us. Please review these expectations carefully before applying:
- This is a performance-based role. Trial days are closely observed to ensure that your work meets the standards our clients expect.
- Personal home cleaning is not the same as professional cleaning. You must have experience cleaning other people’s homes in a paid, professional capacity.
- Speed is not rewarded here. Finishing faster than the estimated time does not result in early departure or bonus pay. Time should be used to review and refine your work.
- You may be assigned to clean a wide variety of homes. Preferences for specific homes or clients cannot be accommodated.
- We maintain a distraction-free environment. Personal calls, text conversations, or excessive breaks during cleanings are not acceptable.
- Feedback is part of the job. If you’re not open to checklists, constructive feedback, and ongoing improvement, this won’t be the right fit.
- Quality matters more than convenience. If you’re only available inconsistently, or you need lots of schedule flexibility, this is not the right opportunity.
- We reserve the right to discontinue contractor relationships at any time if performance or conduct does not meet our standards.
