Summary:
Responsible for performing multiple duties that require experience in the assembly, transport, disinfection, calibration and troubleshooting of respiratory related equipment. The Respiratory Student Extern works under the direction of a Respiratory Therapist. The extern is responsible for maintaining an appropriate level of equipment in the various work areas and assisting Respiratory Therapists with various procedures and tasks as directed.

Required:
Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent. Actively enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
Preferred: 2nd year Respiratory Therapy student with previous healthcare experience
Experience:
Preferred: Previous experience with assembly and cleaning or respiratory equipment
Certifications:
Required:
- BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
- ACLS & PALS prior to graduation
