Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.
We are seeking a Youth Personal Support Worker to help a young boy in his home and in the community. The Personal Support Worker will be responsible for ensuring the boy is supervised and to assist his mother with his care. Care needs include bathing, toileting, meal prep, light housekeeping, and community outings. The ideal candidate will be patient, willing to engage and skilled to work with special needs children. This child enjoys Fireman Sam, tablet play: games/videos, and being outdoors.
Location: Menomonie, WIWage: $14.13 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Assist with bathing and toileting
- Meal prep/snacks
- Companionship/play
- Communication assistance
- Community Outings
- Authorized to work in the United States
- 18 years old or older at start of employment
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and auto insurance
- Must pass a caregiver background check
- Experience working with special needs children
- Flexible hours to be scheduled with managing party/parent.
- Hours available between Monday and Friday after school to early evenings. 3:30pm to 8:30pm.
- Saturdays and Sundays – multiple options for minimum of 4-hour shifts between the hours of 9am and 8:30 pm.
