Knuckies Hoagies is looking for a Restaurant Shift Lead who can assist GM and Manager and properly execute all aspects of our business. You will manage a high-quality hoagie menu offering and motivate your team to provide excellent guest service. Assistant Manager responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and guest-service standards. To be successful in this role you will need prior management experience. You will assist in hiring qualified team members, set work schedules, oversee food prep and make sure we comply with health and safety restaurant regulations. We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our team during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and guests have exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily restaurant operations - openings & closings
- Deliver superior service and maximize guest satisfaction
- Assist in Cash handling & bank deposits
- Assist in Ordering & inventory
- Food Prep
- Respond efficiently and accurately to guest complaints
- Assist in Organizing and supervising shifts
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Manage Knuckies great image and suggest ways to improve it
- Assist in Controlling operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
- Assist in Coordinating and handling catering & events
- Assist in Training new and current team members on proper food prep, hoagie prep, & guest service practices
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager or similar role
- Proven guest service experience
- Extensive food knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform guests and staff
- Familiarity with restaurant management software, like Toast or Clover
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
