Job Description
As a retail sales associate you are responsible for all sales activities and job duties. This involves greeting customers, answering questions, maintaining a well-stocked floor, and displaying merchandise in a presentable fashion. You will also operate a cash register to process payments and deal with exchanges. A polite and professional attitude with sincerity and enthusiasm is a must.
Responsibilities
- Go the extra mile and deliver above-and-beyond customer service
- Assist in setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor
- Price and display bulk merchandise on the shelves
- Collaborate with other team members to keep the sales floor area clean and organized
- Operate the register, complete financial transactions, and balance cash drawer
- Help organize back stock as needed
- Take direction from and report to assigned supervisor
Qualifications
- Previous retail, sales and/or hospitality experience a major plus
- Extremely personable, positive, and approachable
- Fantastic customer service skills
- Comfortable standing for long periods of time
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Adaptable and flexible
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Able to work various shifts, including Saturdays and some holidays, but never asked or permitted to work on Sundays short of a genuine all hands-on emergency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 42 per week
