Newport Vineyards is looking for retail associates to assist our front of house team with guest services in our winery & brewery retail store. Must have a solid customer service experience, flexible schedule, and a good work ethic.
We are looking for bright, driven, positive candidates to join our Front of House Retail team. Must have a passion for farm to table food, beverage, and excellent customer service. Candidates must be able to meet and exceed our goal of customer expectations and satisfaction during their visit with us. Wine and beer lovers welcomed!
· Excellent customer service skills: Essential that you maintain an energetic, friendly, and positive attitude at all times
· Extensive Newport Vineyards wine and beer knowledge, as well as winery and vineyard knowledge
· Respond to additional guest needs or questions by observing the retail as guests may be in need of help
· Selling and marketing products to guests
· Proficient in POS systems
· Responsible handling of money and registers
· Understanding and management of vineyard rewards program
· Execute all retail space opening and closing needs, including stocking the floor and behind the counter with wine and additional products, as well as opening and closing all Counterpoint money drawers
· Processing all end of the day retail paperwork with basic mathematical skills
· Answering phones and helping with guest requests
· Maintaining facility cleanliness and organization
· Enforcing Rhode Island state alcohol laws and company policies
