Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Accurately process customer transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, maintaining cash drawer accuracy.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases and increase sales.
- Assist with stocking shelves and maintaining product displays to ensure an organized shopping environment.
- Supervise junior staff members during shifts, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly with excellent customer service skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area and surrounding spaces.
- Utilize phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail or cashiering is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of retail math for accurate transaction processing.
- Ability to handle cash effectively and maintain accurate financial records.
- Bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Familiarity with stock management and merchandising practices is beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
