Job Title: Retail Produce Department Director
Location: Ring Bros. Marketplace, 485 Route 134, South Dennis, MA.
Position Summary: Ring Bros. Markets is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Produce Department Director to drive the success of our produce department in South Dennis, MA. This hands-on leadership role will be responsible for implementing strategic plans, ensuring operational excellence, and leading a team to exceed performance goals and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and implement the operations, merchandising, and performance of the retail produce department.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team to deliver high-quality service and consistent standards.
- Develop and execute produce merchandising strategies to increase sales, minimize shrink, and improve overall profitability.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, product quality, pricing, and freshness.
- Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and store policies.
- Analyze seasonal sales trends and to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate with buyers and vendors to ensure optimal product availability, quality and pricing.
- Support store improvements, remodels, and seasonal transitions with a focus on produce presentation and performance.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in retail produce management.
- Proven leadership ability with experience training and developing a team.
- Strong knowledge of produce quality standards, inventory management, merchandising, and food safety protocols.
- Excellent communication, organization and customer service skills.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
