Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist in maintaining the store's appearance, managing inventory, and driving sales through effective communication and product knowledge.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage stock levels and ensure accurate inventory counts.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions with precision and care.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed attractively.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering recommendations.
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance overall store performance.
- Opening boxes and unpacking new arrivals, steaming and tagging new clothing items
- Merchandising the store
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of basic math principles for cash handling and inventory management.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Attention to detail in maintaining stock levels and store presentation.
- Willingness to learn about products and services offered in-store to better assist customers.
