Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic bilingual (English-Spanish) Retail Sales Associate to join our fast-paced automotive paint supply store. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can communicate confidently in both Spanish and English. You will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, maintaining store displays, restocking, and contributing to overall store function.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Utilize phone etiquette to handle customer inquiries and provide information about products and services.
• Take paint orders regularly and help monitor the schedule for upcoming due orders
• Communicate between customers and the mixing room to ensure order accuracy
• Handle transactions, invoices, and receipts professionally
• Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately using POS systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displayed neatly.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products, enhancing the overall shopping experience.
• Perform basic math calculations to assist with transactions and inventory management.
• Stay informed about our services and product knowledge to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers.
• Support other team members during busy times.
• Besides store front duties, we may also train you for the mixing room and for delivery help if/when needed.

Requirements

• Fluent in both Spanish and English (spoken & written)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic computer skills (will train for invoicing and order entry)
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented, honest, responsible
• Friendly attitude and team-player mentality
• Previous experience in retail, paint, or automotive fields is a plus

Experience

• Previous experience (1-2 years) in a retail/grocery store or other customer service environment is preferred.
• Must speak both English & Spanish fluently and be able to translate Spanish customers if/when needed.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is a plus
• Automotive or paint industry experience is a plus. (not required)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
