We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team at The Pink Door. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming shopping experience, assisting customers with their needs, and driving sales through effective communication and product knowledge.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed throughout their shopping experience.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer understanding and engagement.
- Utilize upselling techniques to encourage additional purchases and maximize sales opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively assist customers.
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and ensure accuracy in retail math practices.
- Answer customer inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette, providing information about products and services.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Keep the sales floor organized, stocked, and visually appealing to enhance the overall shopping experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Basic math skills necessary for handling transactions and inventory management.
- A proactive attitude towards learning about products and improving sales techniques is essential.
