Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for all customers. You will assist with various tasks including merchandising, stocking, and maintaining the overall appearance of the store. Duties
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their needs
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cashiering and cash handling
- Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote sales
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Maintain organized merchandising displays to enhance product visibility and appeal
- Stock shelves and ensure that products are replenished in a timely manner
- Assist in supervising junior staff members when required, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations
- Exhibit strong phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or directing calls
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred
- Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply to assist our diverse customer base
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and team members
- Experience with merchandising techniques and product placement strategies is a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
- A proactive attitude towards upselling and enhancing the customer shopping experience
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and retail operations
