POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the Retail Sales Associate is to provide excellent customer service and drive sales for Yankee Candle Company. The Retail Sales Associate will assist customers in finding the products that are best for their needs and will answer product questions and provide advice to customers on proper use. The Retail Sales Associate will participate in the store operations as needed and be part of the team to help accomplish store goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet customers upon entry into the store
- Provide accurate information about products, prices, and promotions
- Answer product questions and provide appropriate advice to customers
- Stay up-to-date on new products and promotions
- Participate in inventory counts, reviews, and cycle counts
- Participate in restocking efforts, such as checking for supplies
- Assist customers in locating items that are best for their needs
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Other tasks as assigned by Store Manager or Store Manager of Operations
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction
- Basic communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build trusting relationships with customers
