Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with product inquiries.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process sales transactions.
- Handle cash register duties, including cash handling and balancing at the end of shifts.
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by restocking merchandise as needed.
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving shipments and conducting stock checks.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the store environment to enhance customer experience.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations throughout the day.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and resolving issues promptly.
Skills
- Proficient in using POS systems and cash registers.
- Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
- Experience with cash handling procedures in a retail setting.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is beneficial but not required.
- Basic knowledge of retail math for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members alike.
- Capability to stock shelves efficiently while maintaining product organization.
