Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will engage with customers, assist them in finding products, and contribute to the overall success of our retail operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Demonstrate product knowledge
- Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with pricing inquiries and promotions.
- Operate the cash register and manage transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and recommending additional items that complement their purchases.
- Maintain organized stock levels on the sales floor, ensuring that merchandise is well-displayed and replenished as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a pleasant shopping environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and POS systems is a plus.
- Basic understanding of retail math to assist with pricing and inventory management.
- Ability to perform effectively to engage customers.
- Experience in a grocery store setting is advantageous but not required.
- A proactive attitude towards upselling products and enhancing customer experiences.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
