Job Description:

Position Summary:

This role is responsible to provide clerical support to the Risk Management department in the self-administration of workers compensation, general and auto liability claims. Enter accurate and timely claims data in applicable database(s) to support OSHA reporting requirements.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Responsible for the data entry of electronic OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) information for all OSHA recordable claims to ensure compliance with OSHA reporting requirements; research claims files as needed in order to submit accurate and timely data (i.e. associates name, date of incident, etc.)

  • Provide clerical support such as copying, faxing, filing, etc., and prepare and maintain department files (hardcopy documents) related to claims administration.

  • Responsible to open, sort, date, stamp, and distribute mail to facilitate the flow of claims processing and record retention; scan and attach documents to internal and/or external claim file(s).

  • May assist in copying medical bills and reports to be forwarded to financial shared services or the Company’s third party administrator (TPA) for processing.

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • One year plus of general office/administrative/data entry experience preferred.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must have attention to detail, data entry skills, and ability to organize and prioritize effectively.

  • Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) required.

May be required to lift and/or move 20 pounds. The associate is frequently required to sit/stand/walk. While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a typical office environment and is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions. Temperatures may vary for those subject to any of the following areas: computer/server room, print shop, production area). The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
