Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room department. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in emergency situations. Your expertise will contribute to the overall health and well-being of our patients while ensuring compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
Duties
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon arrival in the emergency room.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Participate in infection control measures to prevent hospital-acquired infections.
- Assist with critical care transport as needed, ensuring safe transfer of patients.
- Engage in family planning discussions when appropriate, providing necessary resources and referrals.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in emergency nursing or critical care is preferred.
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient education.
